OH MY GIRL
It is with a second album, “REAL LOVE“, that the group OH MY GIRL from WM ENTERTAINEMENT is making its comeback.
HYOJUNG, MIMI, YOOA, SEUNGHEE, JIHO, YUBIN and ARIN return to the stage for an album with a more mature concept. It is during an online showcase on YouTube that the young women present this album, starting by broadcasting the clip of the title song, with the eponymous name.
We discover the singers traveling the world before ending in a universe worthy of an “Imaginarium”. Once the clip is finished, we find the group for the first performance of this comeback. All dressed in white, the singers radiate on stage to interpret this title all in lightness. This album is rich in meaning, since their first full album was released three years ago. “Real love” expresses the sometimes exotic discovery of love, which is meant to be sensual and sophisticated.
The group then takes place to discuss this comeback, starting by saying that the preparation of a full album is not easy, but that they have prepared hard to offer new songs with concepts never experienced before. . Young women are always grateful and delighted to hear their songs in public places, especially “Dolphin” and “Dun dun dance” which were very successful when they were released. Ten songs were therefore produced for this album, the singers presenting them one by one:

- « Sailing heart » : Journey to reach an unknown island at sea.
- « Real Love » : Instrumental version of the title track.
YUBIN reveals that she fell under the spell of “Real love” at the first listen, considering that she perfectly represented the image that OH MY GIRL wanted to convey now. MIMI then dances a few steps to represent the passages that she considers to be key in the choreography, when the young women draw hearts with their hands during the chorus.
This album wants to be representative of this beginning of spring by its freshness and its simplicity. Laughing, the singers admit having discovered the clip for “Real love” at the same time as the journalists, and declare that they are very satisfied with its result. Going back to the behind the scenes of the clip, HYOJUNG explains that the group had to go to Jeju Island several times because of the weather, to shoot different kinetics.

After many titles wanting to be festive and sparkling, OH MY GIRL appreciates this change of concept, the title track wanting to be calmer than the previous ones. However, they remain very happy to know that their songs remain in the Korean and international charts.
For this comeback, they worked hard to represent what “true love” was and make the title song their own. According to MIMI, YOOA is the one that best personifies this new path taken by the group. YOOA selects in return MIMI as the one who has made the most effort to adapt to this concept, since she is the one who moves the furthest away from “frilly and bow ties“. Anyway, YOOA is convinced that “Real love” is a song representing the essence of OH MY GIRL, wanting to be “brilliant” – in accordance with the musical imprint of the group.
The young women hope to achieve the number one spot on a music show and experience the same success as their previous songs. YOOA hopes the group can be said to bring joy and good humor to those watching. She hopes for nothing more than to bring happiness to others, especially their fans.
Finally, OH MY GIRL looks back on her journey since her debut seven years ago. HYOJUNG declares having, contrary to what they thought before starting, achieved goals that she considered inaccessible. She is also grateful for the understanding between the members, and their teamwork. The young women struggle to realize that seven years have passed, so happy and filled with love are the memories they share together. They therefore thank each other for this career, hoping to continue on this path for a long time.
