Today at 3 p.m. KST, WM Entertainment‘s agency sent us an email to announce the non-renewal of OH MY GIRL member JIHO’s contract. After various discussions between the members and the agency, JIHO decided not to renew her contract and go her own way.
Here is the agency’s press release:
“Hello, we are WM Entertainment.
First of all, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to the fans who love and support OH MY GIRL.
We renewed our contract with HYOJUNG, MIMI, YOOA, SEUNGHEE, YUBIN and ARIN from OH MY GIRL. Based on the deep trust and recognition we have built over the past seven years, we will continue to provide full support to the six members to work actively in various fields.
In addition, we would like to inform you that JIHO’s exclusive contract with us will be terminated regarding JIHO’s choice to move towards a new dream after a long and thorough discussion with the members as well as with us.
We would like to express our gratitude to JIHO for being with us for 7 years and will continue to support JIHO’s activities.
The 6 members will continue to promote as OH MY GIRL. We are going to work with a fresh start and a better appearance, so please give us lots of encouragement and support like now.”
The group OH MY GIRL will now be a group of 6 members.
