KINGDOM: The return is announced

KINGDOM (Hwon, Jahan, Daan, Arthur, Mujin, Louis, and Ivan) announced its comeback today by sequentially releasing two versions of “Coming soon” images to its official SNS at noon and 3 p.m.

The first “coming soon” image features the silhouette of MUJIN, the main character in the new album’s narrative. The red background in the background creates a dark and eerie atmosphere. In the second image, the cut group with a full silhouette added to the comeback vibe.

“History of Kingdom: Part V” is KINGDOM’s fifth mini album, which reflects member LOUIS’ worldview, which was released in October last year. This means that the group will be back about six months after this release.

It was in February 2021 that the group released its first mini-album “History Of Kingdom: Part I”. He has been active for over two years, releasing a total of five albums. In particular, the name of the group, which means “seven kingdoms, seven kings,” opened a new path for fantasy K-pop with the immense worldview of KINGDOM.

KINGDOM, which has projected its members’ unique worldview in each album, develops a movie-like narrative, starting with ARTHUR with his first mini album King of “Kingdom of Rain“, CHIWOO for his second mini album “Kingdom of Clouds“, IVAN with his third mini-album “Kingdom of Snow” and LOUIS with his fifth mini-album “Kingdom of Beauty“.

The main character of the new album’s narrative is MUJIN, who is in charge of the “Kingdom of Cherry Blossoms“, as predicted in the music video for the title track “Long live the king” from the fifth mini album. It was a scene that only lasted a few seconds, but with the background images, costumes, music and oriental concepts the expectations are high. Also, since the group is making a comeback in March when the cherry trees are in full bloom, expectations are even higher.

KINGDOM topped various Amazon Music charts in the United States for the first time as a “fourth generation idol” with its fifth mini album. The group also shows its presence as a global idol of next-generation K-pop by entering the US Billboard’s “World Digital Song Sales” three times in a row.

KINGDOM, which will be making its comeback on March 23, will launch pre-orders for its sixth mini album on various music sites starting at 3 p.m. KST.
