KQ Entertainment’s rookie boy group has confirmed its official name as “XIKERS 싸이커스.”
On February 24, KQ Entertainment’s official YouTube channel caught the eye when the video for “xikers IDENTITY FILM” was released in a surprise fashion.
While the posted video evokes curiosity with contact details and functions leading to multiple branches, the caption XIKERS finally appeared at the end of the video, and the name of ATEEZ’s younger brother group was revealed.
Ten members of the “KQ Fellaz” system, which merges KQ Entertainment‘s new development know-how, will debut as XIKERS (Minjae, JunMin, Sumin, Jinsik, Hyunwoo, Hubter, Junghoon, Seeun, YuJun, and Yechan).
XIKERS borrowed the letter “x” symbolizing coordinates and the word “hiker”, meaning traveler, to mean “boys traveling through time and space in search of coordinates“, drawing attention to the stories that they will unveil through music in the future.
Moreover, while the countdown image, which started without notice on KQ Entertainment‘s website at midnight on February 23, was revealed to be the release of XIKERS’ first name, their name has already been on and outside of the Twitter trend.
In particular, XIKERS performed NCT 127’s cover of “Kick it” at “KCON 2022 JAPAN” held in October last year, as well as participating in the agency’s senior group world tour. ATEEZ and participate in the pre-debut stage, already proving its strong basic skills through various stages.
With much anticipation and attention for the group XIKERS, which is accelerating its first promotion by confirming the name of the group, XIKERS will appear at “K-CON 2023 Thailand” on March 18 to impress many K-pop fans.
