According to POCKETDOL (the group’s company), JUNWON and his parents refused his integration into the group, believing that the young man deserved a greater share of the group’s income thanks to his highest final score in the program. The company had rejected this request because such differentiation would lead to equity disputes with other members.
JUNWON opened up about the situation in a letter posted on his social media, saying he was coerced into accepting unreasonable terms by the agency.
« Not only did the company not accept my requests to modify unfair contract terms, but they tried to add even more unacceptable conditions and coerced me by telling me that I could leave if I was not satisfied », he said. POCKETDOL immediately denied these allegations, claiming to have forced nothing concerning the contract.
The agency claimed that it was normal for the contracts of the members of the same group to be divided equally between the members and the company, which is also the case for its contracts with the members of FANTASY BOYS. JUN WON‘s parents wanted their son’s share of profits to be set differently for all activities, including album sales and concerts, where he would take 60% and the company 40% of the total.
The group FANTASY BOYS will therefore debut on September 21th, 2023 with the eleven members, K-SOUL, KANG MINSEO, LEE HANBIN, HIKARI, LINGQI, HIKARU, KIM WOOSEOK, HONG SUNGMIN, OH HYEONTAE, KIM GYURAE et KAEDAN.
