SEVENTEEN reached second place in the “Billboard 200” chart with two consecutive albums, setting new records for K-pop.

The remarkable group SEVENTEEN (composed of S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino) has secured the second spot on the “Billboard 200” chart in the United States with two consecutive albums.
According to the latest data from November 7th released by the American media outlet Billboard, its eleventh mini-album, titled “SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN“, made its debut at the second place on the main album chart, “Billboard 200“. With this achievement, SEVENTEEN has managed to rank second on this chart for the second time, following its tenth mini-album, “FML“.
SEVENTEEN also exhibits a strong presence on the “Billboard 200” chart with a total of six albums, including its eighth mini-album “YOUR CHOICE“, its ninth mini-album “ATTACCA“, its fourth album “FACE THE SUN“, the reissue of its fourth album “SECTOR 17“, “FML“, and now, “SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN“. Four of these albums consecutively reached the top 10 in the chart.
“SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN” has also claimed the first position in the “World Albums” chart and has achieved remarkable results, securing the second place on both the “Top Album Sales” and “Top Current Album Sales” charts.
With “SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN” SEVENTEEN set a new record by surpassing 5 million copies sold within the first week of its release, making it the first artist in the history of the Korean music industry to achieve this milestone. Furthermore, their title track “음악의 신” (“God of Music”) claimed the first position on the “Melon TOP100” chart, marking the first time a male K-pop group has done so this year.
In addition to its musical success, SEVENTEEN is making a mark in 2023 with its tour in Japan, which began in September at the Tokyo Dome. This tour, named “SEVENTEEN TOUR ‘FOLLOW’ TO JAPAN“, continues with performances at the Beruna Dome (Saitama) on November 23th and 24th, the Vantelin Dome Nagoya on November 30th and December 2nd-3rd, the Kyocera Dome Osaka on December 7th and 9th-10th, and the Fukuoka PayPay Dome on December 16th and 17th.
