On November 1, YUGYEOM kicked off his 2023 European tour in Paris at the Bataclan, an unforgettable evening which heralds a landmark tour.
Invited by MAGICSOUND KPOP, KSTATION TV had the honour of attending the first concert of YUGYEOM‘s European tour. Known as a member of GOT7, YUGYEOM managed to find a place as a solo singer under the label AOMG. Indeed, the 25-year-old soloist had already given us the honour of coming to Paris and the Bataclan in 2022 for his first European solo tour. Thus, for its second date in Paris, YUGYEOM was accompanied by exceptional guests: COOGIE and DJ WEGUN, who were present in London.
The concert was filled with an enthralling atmosphere that lasted from the beginning to the end of the evening. The dynamic atmosphere starts with DJ WEGUN, who once again showcased his talent as a DJ by mixing tracks from famous artists such as NEWJEANS or JUNGKOOK with more unique productions. The enthusiastic audience paid tribute to his set before continuing the evening as it should.
During his performance, COOGIE raised the bar yet again this evening with tracks like “Movin’ & Movin’”, “MBTI” and even “Good night” before giving way to YUGYEOM. Announced as a special guest, COOGIE was eagerly awaited by the fans present who didn’t hesitate to chant his name to call him on stage before and during his performance.
Mixing R&B, hip-hop and pop, YUGYEOM offered us a concert that lived up to its reputation. Indeed, YUGYEOM began with the title “Lolo” accompanied by the dancers of KYUM CREW. This was an intoxicating performance marked by the vocal prowess of the artist in tune with the audience present in the room.
A vocal prowess which will be proven many times during this evening with subsequent: “Take you down” in a duet with COOGIE, “I want you around” and “All about you” before revealing some exclusives to us. Indeed, the singer also took advantage of this evening to unveil two songs from his next album: one in collaboration with DJ WEGUN and a song called “Always ready”.
Afterwards, YUGYEOM performed “Say nothing”, “Light”, and “All your fault” under the loud fans’ encouragement before unveiling a new choreography with SON DONGJIN on “Party brand” by LOCO. A choreography congratulated by the public, who did not hesitate to use the songs and cheers scream characteristic of the French public.
YUGYEOM wrapped up the evening with two final performances, “Love the Way” and “Ponytail“, receiving immense encouragement and applause from the energetic audience. These moments will remain a cherished memory of the night. He then returned to the stage with “Hard Carry“, which truly captured the electrifying atmosphere and excitement of the Parisian crowd. The concert ended with a captivating performance by YUGYEOM and COOGIE, a remarkable duo that fittingly concluded this unforgettable event.
We will conclude by saying that this first date announced a significant European tour, but also a promising album that we can’t wait to discover.
