Taiwan’s No. 1 girl group GENBLUE will debut in Korea in May next year.
天空 Entertainment, its agency, announced that the “2024 Tiangong Infinite Project” will advance in Korea during a media showcase of GENBLUE’s debut album release on December 1, and announced that GENBLUE will officially debut with a first single in Korea in May 2024.
According to the “2024 Tiangong Infinite Project” revealed at the showcase, GENBLUE plans to sign a trainee contract with a Korean agency in February next year and undergo three months of intensive training. After that, the group will officially debut its first single in Korea in May.
Fans around the world are paying attention to GENBLUE’s decision, as it is rare for K-pop groups formed abroad to enter Korea.
GENBLUE, who has the opportunity to debut in Korea, said: “We feel like we received an early Christmas present. Starting with this project, we will try to have an international perspective” said Tiankung, CEO of 天空 Entertainment. “The goal is to expand to the global market as well as Korea in the future.”
GENBLUE is currently considered the most popular artist in Taiwan, ranking first in album sales according to the Taiwan iTunes chart. It is a group that debuted through the girl group audition program “Future Girl”, which attracted attention in Taiwan, and consists of nine members, including YUAN YUAN (許媛媛) , XXIN, BIDO, YU(毓), NICO, VICKY, TSAI CHEN (采甄), RONG RONG (容容) and AYEON (阿勇).
