BTS’ J-HOPE released part of the new album “HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1“.

According to the highlight medley of J-HOPE’s special album “HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1“, released on the group’s official channel on February 27 at midnight KST, the new album will feature the title track “Neuron (featuring Gaeko, Yoon Mirae), “On the street (solo version)”, “I wonder… (feat Jung kook from BTS), “Lock/Unlock (with benny blanco, Nile Rodgers)”, “I don’t know (with Huh Yunjin of LE SSERAFIM)”, “What if… (dance mix with JINBO the SuperFreak). In particular, J-HOPE participated in the lyrics of the entire album and generously displayed his abilities.
The first track is J-HOPE’s solo version of “On the street (with J.Cole)”, released in March last year. “I wonder…” is J-HOPE’s fan song based on electro-punk sound and sincere heart to enjoy every moment together. JUNGKOOK, also a member of BTS, will appear in the song and will share his emotion for ARMYs (fans of the group).
“Lock/unlock” is a song that talks about the lines that should be observed between people, with the key words “control”, “break” and “step”, which are dance terms. “I don’t know” is a minimalist house genre song with J-HOPE’s calm sensibility, and Le Sserafim’s Huh Yujin is featured in the song, making the two look forward to the harmony they will show. Then, “What if...” from J-HOPE’s first official solo album “JACK IN THE BOX“, released in July 2022, is reborn in the form of a dance remix and will be placed on the fifth track.
The last track of the album will be accompanied by the title song “Neuron”. It refers to the “neuron”, which generates electricity when provoked from the outside and transmits information to other cells, as well as to the dance team of the same name in which J-HOPE was a member before his debut. The song is of an old school hip-hop genre from the 2000s that influenced J-HOPE the most and conveys his musical roots, his motivation for life and his expectation of a new beginning. The charm of the song was doubled by the presence of Gaeko from Dynamic Duo and Yoon Mirae.
The new album will bring together not only top Korean musicians, but also American producers Benny Blanco and Nile Rodgers. J-HOPE’s collaboration with artists of all genres heralds a wider musical world.
J-HOPE will simultaneously release his special album “HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1” at 1 p.m. KST on March 29.
