Actor KIM JOON HYUN has successfully completed his first performance of the musical “Bloody Love.”
KIM JOON HYUN took the stage as Van Helsing in “Bloody Love” held at KEPCO Art Center on December 8.
After the first performance, KIM JOON HYUN shared on social media, “I’m excited because of ‘Bloody Love’ which is new to me and the audience,” and added, “I hope all audiences will be touched indefinitely.”
KIM JOON HYUN plays Van Helsing, a descendant of the Helsing family in the play, who exterminates the Dracula family and chases him his entire life in order to kill him.
By portraying different characters in Acts 1 and 2 of the play, he not only played two roles, but also showed his explosive singing and excellent ability to assimilate characters, drawing applause from the audience. Although he is a villain, he expressed the character convincingly and gave the play a sense of immersion, arousing the desire to revisit it.
The musical “Bloody Love“, starring KIM JOON HYUN in the lead role, is a recently revived Czech “Dracula” musical, which has a long history of 30 years. Based on the classic best-selling novel by Bram Stoker, the work premiered in the Czech Republic in 1995 and has been enjoyed by audiences around the world for 30 years, including its Korean premiere in 1998.
Expectations are high for KIM JOON HYUN‘s “Van Helsing” character as to how he will approach the audience in the remaining performances.
“Bloody Love,” where you can see KIM JOON HYUN‘s Van Helsing, will be presented at KEPCO Art Center until February 16, 2025.
