Group XG has dominated the world, making 2024 its year.
XG (Jurin, Chisa, Cocona, Hinata, Maya, Juria, and Harvey) made its comeback with its second mini album “AWE” in November, and achieved its highest initial sales record, a ranking on the “Billboards 200”, went on a world tour, and announced a performance at “Coachella”.
Through “AWE”, which captures special experiences in everyday life, XG made its comeback with the determination to provide a new sense of wonder that has never been seen before. Not only the music, but also the music videos and concepts, all the contents acted organically as one, showing overwhelming completeness.
This led to the chart performance. As of the 17th, “AWE” ranked 175th on the Billboard 200, the main Billboard chart. Additionally, it proudly topped the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart for debutants who never charted in the Top 100 among artists listed on the Billboard 200. It also saw remarkable growth in Korea, recording its highest initial sales ever.
XG’s global response was already anticipated with their first world tour, “The first HOWL.” XG has proven their immense global popularity by attracting over 200,000 spectators at concerts in Korea, Japan, North America, and Europe. XG will hold additional concerts in Australia, South America, and Japan starting next year.
XG has also confirmed its first appearance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (hereinafter referred to as “Coachella”), which will be held in April next year. Notably, XG is the only girl group in the “Coachella” lineup, and they were named just below the headliner in the lineup image, realizing its global status.
XG, who became a global girl group through their tour and second mini album, has been continuing their activities since the beginning of this year. XG became a trend leader by releasing a collaborative song with Riot Games “Valorant” in 2024, participating in Nike’s “Air Max Dn” collaboration, and Tamagochi’s original design.
Through this performance, the group was also selected as the “2024 Most Stylish Musee Sun 25” published by Rolling Stone in the United States, and it also decorates Billboard magazine, Forbes in Japan, Vogue and Nylon covers, and the fashion world also pays attention to XG.
