ILLIT
ILLIT is the most awarded female K-pop artist at the Japan Gold Disc Awards.

ILLIT (Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha) won three awards at the 39th Japan Gold Disc Awards, announced by the Japan Records Association on January 12: Best Download Song of the Year (Asia), Best Streaming Song of the Year (Asia), and Best 5 Streaming Songs for their debut single, “Magnetic.”
The Japan Gold Disc Awards, established in 1987, are presented by the Japan Records Association to artists and works that have contributed to the development of the recording industry. Winners in each category are selected based on sales, streaming, and downloads of albums and music videos released over a year.
ILLIT’s “Magnetic” was certified double platinum (200 million cumulative streams) by the Japan Records Association in January. It is the shortest-ever single by a girl group. Thanks to their popularity, ILLIT won the most awards among female K-pop artists at the 39th Japan Gold Disc Awards.
The members said, “Thanks to GLLIT, who have tirelessly supported us, we were able to achieve such a significant result. Thank you so much for your love and support.“
ILLIT has already won four trophies at major local music awards, including the Japan Gold Disc Awards. They previously won the New Artist award at the Japan Record Awards. This was the first time in 13 years that a K-pop girl group had won Rookie of the Year at the ceremony, and the first time without having released an official album in Japan.
ILLIT swept several annual charts in Japan last year. The group notably topped the Billboard Japan charts among K-pop and foreign artists, and also confirmed notable popularity figures on the annual charts of YouTube and TikTok in Japan.
Meanwhile, ILLIT recently released “Almond chocolate,” their first original Japanese track and the theme song for the film “It takes more than a pretty face to fall in love,” which received positive reviews.
