SONG GAIN
KSTATION TV is invited this Saturday, April 19th to the fanmeeting of the trot singer SONG GAIN!
The 2019 winner of “MISS TROT” meets her fans at a fanmeeting entitled “평생 – The 차오르다”, “forever — the moon rises,” or “Again” in it official English name. After making her debut in 2012 with the single «산바람아 강바람아» the singer has conquered the hearts of South Koreans over the years, who love this musical genre that detaches itself from Kpop by its more traditional and sometimes eccentric side.
The artist has also participated in original music series (OST), for example with the title «Photo of my mind» from the drama «CRASH LANDING ON YOU» in 2020. This fanmeeting is therefore an opportunity for the singer to meet her fans and share sweet musical moments with them. Outside the room, people are wearing pink Barbie jackets and caps, and honing with pride by singing the singer’s lightstick. A thunderstorm breaks out, but even the rain can not sully the good mood of the fans.
This fanmeeting is an opportunity for the artist to perform the songs of his fourth album entitled «GAIN: DAL», dal meaning «moon» in Korean. With the rain, the fanmeeting organization was delayed – 40 minutes – and to keep the public waiting, the MC asks where they came from, some having made the express trip from the island of Jeju or even from Thailand. He also make three brave volunteers sing, including a child who receives the most applause for daring to get on stage in front of the audience. As a reward, everyone receives a bag containing a mystery gift.
The fanmeeting finally begins, and after a song, «Asadal», SONG GAIN presents herself to the public and expresses her surprise to see many fans present to support her. She is also happy to see her shining lightstick in the room, claiming to be the creator of her pink moon design. She takes the opportunity to compare her fans with cherry blossoms thanks to the jackets they wear.
The singer wears a black top and a long blue skirt, inspired by traditional Korean outfits, hanbok. The MC also welcomes fans who follow the online fanmeeting on the «Hello Live» app. Even if the hall is small and not fully filled, the applause and shouting from the audience gives the feeling of a big room full. We then bring on stage a box full of letters that the fans have written outside the hall. She chooses one and reads it, expressing the fan’s love for her artist, thanking her for her beautiful songs, her powerful voice, and that moment of sharing on this evening.
We get the fan on stage, crying to have been selected among so many letters, and she takes the opportunity to address in person her passion for SONG GAIN. She admits that she didn’t know her until 2021, but she heard her the first time through her daughter, and immediately became a fan. In return, we bring a painting on stage, which the singer signs with a personalized message for the fan, to always remember, as the name of the fanmeeting, from that moment. Then they take pictures together. Jokingly, the artist asks the fan if she will not put the painting on sale online.
The second song is based on images between a mother and her daughter, conveying emotions through voice as well as images. The singer then leaves the stage, advertisements are broadcast, and a raffle is organized based on the number written on the ticket of those who bought promotional goodies : Ginseng to win! A new video is then released, this time by the singer, where she expresses her excitement for the fanmeeting, and where she is given a mission to fulfill: dancing kpop on the title «Solo» by JENNIE. The fans ask her to dance again, enjoying seeing her in a different style. She expresses her difficulty of having to dance on heels of… 3 cm!

Venting her face with her hand, she says that she will not do missions of this kind again during the evening! Other gifts are brought to the stage, such as bags, sunglasses, hair pins, caps, etc. that she has signed for the occasion. All the gifts are actually her own items that she has owned for several years, bought in Korea or abroad, making these gifts even more significant for fans. Again, she asks not to sell them online, so that it goes back to real fans.
She draws tickets for concerts this time, and leaves the choice to the winners of the prize they want to win. One of her relatives then goes on stage, who makes the audience sing about the artist’s songs, explaining the process of creating a song, whether it is the lyrics or the instrumental. He compares the music of SONG GAIN to an orchestra, “Gainchestra” style. To prove his words, a new title begins. Dancers accompany her on stage, to give more dynamism to the performance, followed by «Just passing by». The room changes color to adopt a festive golden, almost reminiscent of Christmas with the animation on screens resembling christmas tree balls and flakes also golden.
Then, the cameras fly over the audience, selecteing a fan to make three poses that SONG GAIN must reproduce based on words displayed on the screen that the singer must guess: «soda, squid, banana». A ten-year-old girl is chosen to mimic other words, pushed by her mother in front of the cameras. Participants also win signed items: clothing. Then, the singer takes the opportunity to thank the people who moved for the event despite the rain, taking the pose quickly so that they can take a picture before in turn take a photo with the public.
She then organizes a small quiz, asking from which region in Korea she comes, her age, the school she attended, and other personal information. Then she asks for the age differences, and in the room, the fans are between 9 and 89 years old. Thus, the fanmeeting ends with a last song: «Always», as a message to her fans, then by a dynamic medley of several minutes. The fans get up from their chairs, and dance in the hall, and recover by leaving the concert to its out a bag of gifts, containing two bottles: red pepper and anchovy sauces! An original gift, for a unique artist who is definitely close to her fans.
