K-pop singers JENNIE, ROSE, and LISA from BLACKPINK and S.COUPS from SEVENTEEN showcased their outfits at the Met Gala.

The four K-pop artists attended the annual invitation-only fashion show held this Monday at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. This year’s spring exhibition was themed “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”
In keeping with the theme, the three K-pop singers were seen wearing simple yet chic dark dresses.

JENNIE appeared in an elegant tuxedo dress adorned with elaborate beading and touches of white, topped with a flat hat. ROSE opted for a darker black suit, with “a plunging black suit with a dramatic train by Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello,” according to Elle magazine, and an accentuated pendant necklace.
LISA dared to wear a sheer lace top and Louis Vuitton tights, without pants.
S.COUPS, meanwhile, sported a layered look inspired by hanbok, the traditional Korean dress, with a gray suit topped with a black overcoat.
“The Costume Institute’s Spring 2025 exhibition presents a cultural and historical examination of Black style spanning three centuries through the concept of dandyism,” the Costume Institute stated last October when announcing the 2025 theme.
“‘Superfine: Tailoring Black Style’ explores the importance of style in shaping Black identities within the Atlantic diaspora, particularly in the United States and Europe. Through a presentation of clothing and accessories, paintings, photographs, decorative arts, and more, from the 18th century to the present, the exhibition interprets the concept of dandyism as both an aesthetic and a strategy for opening new social and political perspectives.”
This is the third consecutive year that JENNIE has attended the Met Gala. For ROSE, it was her first time attending in four years.
