BIGBANG
BIGBANG (G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung), a five-member boy group that sang “Loser” ten years ago, was the shining “Winner” of the era.

On May 1, 2015, BIGBANG returned as a full group after three years. At the time, the members released “Loser” and “Bae Bae,” the first singles from their new album in the “MADE” series.
Among them, “Loser” features a sad and addictive melody that tells the story of men who consider themselves losers. In the music video, all five members appear as wandering youths.
This was BIGBANG’s return as a full group. Since the June 2012 release of “Still alive,” BIGBANG has focused on individual and group activities.
Despite their three-year comeback, their potential remains strong. “Loser” notably reached number one on the daily charts of ten Korean music sites upon its release. It also topped the iTunes singles charts in seven countries, including Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
According to Melon, a domestic music site, it topped the full weekly chart in the second week of May (May 11th to 17th) and was highly regarded for a long time.
However, it’s no longer possible to watch “Loser” with five members. BIGBANG, which debuted in 2006 with five members, now has only three: G-DRAGON, TAEYANG, and DAESUNG.
SEUNGRI, previously cited as a key figure in the “Burning Sun” scandal, left the group in 2019 and was banned from the entertainment industry. Seungri was convicted of nine counts in 2022, including violation of the Special Act on Recessive Gambling, prostitution, organizing prostitution, the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes, the Foreign Exchange Transaction Act, violation of the Food Sanitation Act, embezzlement in commerce, violation of the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes Act, and conduct of a professor specializing in sexual assault. Sentenced to a year and a half in prison, he was released from Yeoju Prison in Gyeonggi Province on February 8, 2023.
TOP, who had attracted considerable attention due to drug-related charges, also left BIGBANG. In 2016, he was convicted of smoking cannabis at home and sentenced to ten months in prison and two years of probation. He then featured on BIGBANG’s digital single “Still life” in April 2022, before announcing his intention to leave the group in 2023.
BIGBANG fans will recall those moments 10 years ago and even earlier, with these must-listen tracks for all K-pop fans.
