Boy group NEWBEAT has successfully completed its 100km walking challenge.

NEWBEAT members (Park Minseok, Hong Minsung, Jeon Yeoyeojeong, Choi Seohyun, Kim Taeyang, Jo Yunhu, and Kim Riwoo) completed a 100km trek, as revealed in the final episode of their original content series “NEWBIETRAP,” which aired on their official YouTube channel on June 6.
Ahead of the final leg of the journey, leader PARK MINSEOK surprised everyone by saying, “We’ll navigate with the map ourselves and push forward. We’ll get through this.” The members then continued walking while taking in the scenery, calculating their remaining distance and estimated arrival time, showing both reliability and determination.
The group walked late into the night, and when they finally reached Jamsil Bridge, they were moved to tears, exclaiming, “We’re in Seoul!” KIM TAEYANG reflected, “I kept wondering when we’d finally arrive in Seoul from Gangwon-do, and we really made it. The important thing is to never give up.”
Once they safely arrived at their agency, the members were overwhelmed with emotion when they were surprised with a thoughtful gift and handwritten letters from their parents. KIM RIWOO, the youngest member, shared, “I thought of my mom, dad, the hyungs in NEWBEAT, and everyone at the agency who supported us—and I cried.” JEON YEOYEOJEONG added, “It was such a meaningful experience.”
Their journey ended on a warm note with a surprise “staycation” at a hotel—giving them time to unwind and prepare for a fresh start. Their stronger, more mature image left a lasting impression on fans.
Through this challenge, NEWBEAT pushed past its limits and proved its sincerity as a rookie group. Over the three-day journey, they built stronger teamwork and deepened their bond, raising anticipation for what’s next. With newfound chemistry and authenticity, their future musical releases are expected to resonate even more deeply.
NEWBEAT debuted in March with its first full-length album “RAW AND RAD,” and has since appeared on shows like “Drop the NEWBEAT” (Mnet) and “힘숨찐 해부실” (SBS). Most recently, they’ve taken the stage at major events like the 2025 Love Some Festival, Seoul Spring Festa, and KCON JAPAN 2025, earning growing attention from global K-pop fans.
NEWBEAT will continue connecting with fans through various performances and both online and offline content, solidifying its status as one of the most promising rookie groups in the K-pop scene.
