DAYCHILD
After reorganizing into a six-member group, DAYCHILD has announced a fresh new start—featuring a broader musical spectrum and high-energy performances.

DAYCHILD recently made its return to the music scene with its third single, “CLICK CLACK.” This marks the group’s first release since YEJEONG and SUNGHOON joined, expanding the original lineup of INTAE, SIWOO, K, and EDEN. This new six-member formation holds special meaning for both the group and fans.
Since their debut last May, DAYCHILD underwent this change after about a year of activity, bringing a richer, more colorful musical identity. New members YEJEONG and SUNGHOON have added their own personal touch to the group’s universe. Here are their honest impressions:
“This is my first time promoting as a member of DAYCHILD. At first, I was really nervous and worried, but once I got on stage, the nerves slowly went away, and I began enjoying performing. Now, I’m even more excited for upcoming music shows, and I think I’ll be able to show an even better side of myself.” — YEJEONG
“During the first week of promotions, I was super nervous. I kept wondering whether I could come across as cute and charming to the fans. But seeing the positive reactions to my stage performance made me really happy. I still have so much more to show, so I hope you’ll all look forward to it!” — SUNGHOON
With the addition of two new members, DAYCHILD has grown from four to six, bringing a new surge of energy to the group. So how did the original members feel about this change? Here’s what they shared about the group dynamics, stage synergy, and teamwork:
“The power and presence we feel during choreography and performances are completely different now. We had great synergy as four, but being six is a whole new experience. Plus, back then, two of us were the ‘hyungs’ (older brothers), but now with two younger members, the name DAYCHILD (children of the day) fits even better. (laughs) The group vibe has also become much brighter.” — SIWOO
The new track “Click clack” is a dance-pop song with a lively beat and an addictive chorus. Its lyrics capture the freedom of youth, running endlessly under brilliant lights and embracing the present moment to the fullest.
Over a fast-paced rhythm, the members are portrayed escaping the constraints of reality, running freely as the repeated “Click clack” sound blends with the thrill of summer nights, delivering an electrifying energy.
The members shared that they immediately felt “Click clack” was the perfect song for DAYCHILD—it matched the early summer mood and reflected both their individual energies and the group’s collective vibe. The cheerful beat and catchy hook gave them hope that they could really showcase DAYCHILD’s unique color through it.
“The first time I heard ‘Click Clack’, I thought, ‘This is such a refreshing song.’ It really lets me express a bright and lively energy, and I felt confident I could perform it well. It was also a great opportunity to highlight my own charms. I really hope to deliver that breezy summer vibe that fits the season so well.” — SUNGHOON
“As soon as I heard it, I knew ‘Click Clack’ was our song. It’s so different from our last release—it has an opposite kind of charm. I felt more at ease expressing my own color through it. I imagined fans looking forward to my bright smile, and that made me even more excited. I poured my heart into preparing the performances. Since the release, I’ve received so much positive feedback—more than I expected—and that makes me truly happy.” — K
Unfortunately, INTAE, the eldest member of the group, had to pause his activities due to health issues. He’s currently focusing on treatment and recovery, and couldn’t participate in the interview—but he shared his thoughts in writing:
“I was really looking forward to these promotions, so I’m very sad and sorry that I couldn’t take part due to a herniated disc. When I first heard that new members were joining, I was honestly worried. I didn’t know who they were, and that made me anxious.” — INTAE
“But as we started training together, I began to understand. DAYCHILD with six members can really show more variety. The difference in our performance is clear. The more the new members blend their colors with the original ones, the more convinced I am that DAYCHILD will become an even more amazing group. I’m cheering them on with all my heart, even from afar.”

With INTAE’s absence, SIWOO has stepped into the role of the group’s eldest. Born in 1998, he’s nine years older than SUNGHOON, the youngest member, born in 2007. During the interview, SIWOO came across as calm and reassuring—taking his new role as leader seriously. But did he feel pressured?
“It would be a lie to say I don’t feel any pressure being the oldest now. But the new members learn quickly and follow instructions so well—it really gives me strength. Their stamina is amazing. (laughs) They’re like walking batteries, always full of energy, and that makes our group vibe so much more lively. Even without INTAE, we’re holding it down, so don’t worry. We keep in touch often and check in with each other. I really hope he gets the rest he needs and comes back fully recovered for our next round of promotions. Rest up, hyung, and don’t worry about a thing.” — SIWOO
