Miss Trot S1 Concert
The Season 1 members of Miss Trot proudly reaffirmed their status as the original queens of trot with their reunion concert “첫정 (First Love)”.
On July 12, KANG YE SEUL, KIM NA HEE, KIM SO YOU, KIM HEE JIN, DOORI, SONG GA IN, SOOK HAENG, JUNG DA KYUNG, and JEONG MI AE (in alphabetical order) held two performances of their concert “우리가 다시 한번 : 첫정 (We Meet Again: First Love)” at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. KST at the KBS Arena in Gangseo District, Seoul.
The first part of the show, themed around nostalgia, was presented as a playful competition to crown the true queen of female trot. The artists opened with heartfelt greetings that brought back memories from the first season of Miss Trot, stirring deep emotions among the audience.
From group numbers to solo stages, each performance brought the crowd back to the feelings and excitement of six years ago. Fans stood up, danced, and cheered passionately throughout the venue. DOORI, moved by the energy, remarked, “You’re having such a great time! How have you managed to keep all that excitement bottled up until now?”
One particularly emotional moment came when a lucky audience member won a surprise giveaway and shared:
“My wife passed away a month ago. She really wanted to see this concert. I came alone today. Thank you so much for bringing this kind of show to the people.”
This heartfelt message added even more meaning to the event.
The highlight of the first half was an unforgettable duet between SONG GA IN and JEONG MI AE, performing “아름다운 강산”. The powerful collaboration was met with explosive applause. Other memorable duets included KIM NA HEE & KIM HEE JIN, and KANG YE SEUL & JUNG DA KYUNG. The group also performed a special “All Heart Medley”, made up of songs that had received perfect scores during Season 1.
The second performance, themed around transformation, unveiled new sides of the singers. While the first set focused on beloved classic stages, the second featured bold reinventions and high-energy dance performances, showcasing how far the artists have come in their musical journeys.
As solo performances reached a fever pitch, legendary mixed group Koyote made a surprise guest appearance, lighting up the arena. They joined the Miss Trot members on stage for explosive renditions of their hits “비몽” and “실연”, creating an unforgettable moment of synergy with the audience.
To close the night, SONG GA IN addressed the audience with heartfelt words:
“The nine of us truly gave it our all. We’ve changed—our appearances, our musical styles—but one thing that will never change is our gratitude for you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We’ll continue singing with the same sincerity we had at the beginning.”
The concert was co-organized by Hwang Jeong-gi, CEO of JGStar (who directed the original Season 1 tour), and SONG GA IN, with the goal of reuniting the original members, staff, and fans for a shared walk down memory lane. Though six years had passed, their chemistry remained intact. More mature and confident than ever, the Miss Trot queens proved why they still reign supreme, and left fans eagerly awaiting what’s next.
