The original soundtrack of the Netflix animated film “KPOP DEMON HUNTERS” has made a strong impact on the UK music charts.
According to the Official UK Singles Chart Top 100 released on July 25 (local time), “Golden”, performed by the fictional girl group HUNTR/X in the film “KPOP DEMON HUNTERS”, rose to 4th place, climbing five spots from the previous week. The track, which debuted at No. 93 in its first week, has remained on the chart for five consecutive weeks.
In addition, “Your idol“, performed in the film by the fictional group SAJA BOYS, jumped nine places to reach No. 14, while “Soda Pop“ made its first appearance on the chart at No. 17.
“KPOP DEMON HUNTERS” is an animated film that tells the story of HUNTR/X, a globally popular K-pop girl group who lead double lives as demon hunters when they’re off stage. It is the first overseas-produced animated film centered on Korean K-pop idols, and it received an enthusiastic global response upon its release.
