LEE CHAE YEON takes on the lead role in the short drama “The love code: Loop of death (사랑의 코딩법: 죽음의 타임루프).
The drama “The love code: Loop of death” (written and directed by Hwang Kyung-sung) is a short-form series that combines thriller and romantic comedy elements. It tells the story of Kim Yoo Jung (played by LEE CHAE YEON), the leader of a popular idol group, who is murdered by a killer but, through an unknown force, finds herself trapped in a time loop, repeatedly reliving the same period and place.
In the series, Kim Yoo Jung is the leader of a “girl group” nicknamed “the national group.” She appears proud and self-centered, but in reality harbors a gentle and warm heart, making her a character full of contrasting charms. LEE CHAE YEON is said to have portrayed with freshness and charm the variety of situations that change slightly with each time loop.
In April, LEE CHAE YEON made her debut in a nationally broadcast drama with “Let’s dance”, a KBS 1TV educational program aimed at raising awareness among teenagers about disabilities. In June, she also played the lead role in the web drama “Budding romance”, where she was praised for her delicate acting in bringing each character to life.
