The rock band ONEWE has won its very first trophy on a music show, seven years after its debut.
The agency RBW announced on October 16 that ONEWE (Yonghoon, Kanghyun, Harin, Dongmyeong, Giuk) took first place on “SHOW! CHAMPION”, which aired on October 15 on MBC M, with the title track “Maze” (“미로”) from their fourth mini-album “MAZE : AD ASTRA”.
To celebrate this historic victory, RBW also posted a photo on the group’s official social media showing the members joyfully holding their trophy.
In a statement released through their agency, ONEWE expressed its gratitude:
“We are extremely thankful. This is the first time in seven years of our career that we’ve received an award on a music show. It’s an honor to dedicate this trophy to our fans, WEVE. We will continue to work hard wherever we are and promise to repay this love with good music and beautiful performances.”
The song “Maze”, which earned ONEWE its first-ever win, blends guitar and brass sounds inspired by jazz fusion, delivering the message that although human relationships can sometimes feel like a maze, the process of finding one’s way through it holds meaning in itself.
ONEWE will continue its activities through various music shows and online content to keep engaging with its fans.
