The “favorite girl group” QWER celebrates its two-year anniversary.
QWER (Chodan, Magenta, Hina, Siyeon) debuted in the music industry on October 18, 2023, with the song “Discord”, and every track they have released since has reached the top of major Korean music charts, showing a consistent upward trajectory. With “고민중독”, they claimed the first place on Korea’s most popular songs chart in 2024 according to YouTube, and with “내 이름 맑음”, they won three trophies on music shows, a rare achievement for a girl group.
Thanks to its popularity, QWER has been recognized at numerous music events in Korea, including “2024 K-WORLD DREAM AWARDS”, “2024 KOREA GRAND MUSIC AWARDS”, “2024 MAMA AWARDS”, “2024 MELON MUSIC AWARDS”, “2024 ASIA ARTIST AWARDS”, “1ST D AWARDS”, “34TH SEOUL MUSIC AWARDS”, and “2025 K-WORLD DREAM AWARDS”, accumulating a total of 12 trophies including main awards, rookie awards, and major honors, solidifying their status as a “favorite girl group” recognized by both the public and their fandom.
Their presence at festivals has also been remarkable. Less than a year after debut, QWER performed at “2024 INCHEON PENTAPORT ROCK FESTIVAL”, one of Korea’s major music festivals. Invited to numerous events, QWER became the go-to choice for festival stages and captivated university festival audiences with their dynamic and refreshing performances, establishing themselves as a “benchmark group.”
Beyond Korea, QWER expanded its activities internationally, becoming a “favorite international girl group.” They held fan concerts in Japan and Taiwan between April and May, connecting closely with local fans. Then, from May 3 to 5, they launched their first world tour “2025 QWER 1ST WORLD TOUR ‘ROCKATION'”, starting in Seoul and visiting 16 cities worldwide.
After two years of remarkable growth, QWER celebrates its second anniversary with fans. On October 13, they released the special LP “BEYOND THE DISCORD”, and from October 17 to 29, a pop-up store “‘Born 2 Rock’ QWER 2nd Anniversary POP-UP Store” opened at the Musinsa Store Daerim Warehouse in Seongdong-gu, Seoul. This pop-up features interactive content, including voice guides and handwritten letters by QWER, offering fans unique and memorable experiences.
