The singer CANDO has released a new song.
CANDO released on September 22 his new digital single “사랑하긴 했나요 (Did you love me)” via various online music sites.
“사랑하긴 했나요” is a traditional ballad that expresses the painful heart of a person left alone after a breakup, who retraces past love and asks again for the other’s sincerity. It conveys with poignant sensibility the feeling of betrayal and the nostalgia difficult to let go of at the moment when even the affectionate look and the love once directed toward oneself seem to be a lie.
The lyrics “공허한 방에 홀로 남아서 놓여있는 사진을 보다 (To stay alone in an empty room and look at the picture left behind)” contain the feeling of emptiness facing past memories while staying alone in the place where love has left. Then, through the lyrics “사랑하긴 했나요 아프기는 한가요, 쏟아지는 눈물 속에 그댈 실어 보내요 (Did you love me, are you in pain, I let you go in the flowing tears)”, the resentment and regrets toward the finished love, as well as the pain of finally having to let the other go, are expressed in a heartbreaking way.
