The agency XGALX, which manages XG, has posted a message hinting at the debut of a new artist, sparking curiosity among fans worldwide.
Recently, a post containing an image was shared on XGALX’s official SNS. In the black-and-white image, a car under spotlights in the dark night is featured, with the text “DEBUT SINGLE PS118 COMING SOON” at the top.
Since the image was published, fans have been speculating about the release of a new artist by XGALX, the agency that launched XG as an international girl group. Reactions are abundant: “Is the agency really going to debut a new artist?”, “Will it be a solo or a group? I can’t wait to see who will follow XG,” “Finally, a junior artist of XG is debuting, the anticipation is huge!”
Some suggest that PS118 could refer to JAKOPS (SIMON JUNHO PARK), XG’s main producer, and that it might announce his solo debut on November 8. Since JAKOPS recently shared videos of trainees on his social media, others also believe the future idol group’s name could be PS118.
XGALX already made a splash by creating XG, a group with a bold concept never seen before. XG established a unique identity, breaking away from existing norms, and each music release has been praised as “unmatched.”
In an interview, JAKOPS explained: “We wanted something popular but original, and we have always sought to go beyond established frameworks.” Fans are therefore eager to discover which new artist will emerge under XGALX after XG.
To date, the agency’s first group, XG, has already made an international impact: participation in the “Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival”, entry into the Billboard 200 chart in the U.S., and campaigns for Coca-Cola and McDonald’s, affirming its position as a “global group.”
