When the pen meets the piano, the credits of his new single reveal an intimate collaboration and the artist’s total involvement

After captivating fans with a visual aesthetic worthy of auteur cinema, ROH TAEHYUN lifts the veil on the team of “sound directors” behind his upcoming track, “LIKE THE MOVIES”. The credits image, bathed in the warm light of a bedside lamp, confirms what the first teasers suggested: we are not facing a simple K-pop track, but a musical piece meticulously arranged to touch emotional chords.
The major surprise of this release is ROH TAEHYUN’s direct involvement in production, alongside RHOMBUS COMPANY. This dual role underscores his desire to control his artistic narrative from A to Z. For the lyrics, he enlisted KINSHA, while the composition was entrusted to a powerful trio: AllThou, Suhyun Kim, and Oneway. The notable presence of piano and strings, performed by Suhyun Kim, promises organic and elegant instrumentation that should perfectly match the nostalgic theme of classic films.
On RHOMBUS COMPANY’s social media, excitement is rising another notch. Fans note that the mixing was handled by Jay Sung at Nota Studio and the mastering by the renowned Kwon Nam Woo (821 Sound Mastering), a name often synonymous with high sound quality in the industry. Every technical detail, down to the direction of the “Live Clip” by Hyunjin Im, seems to converge toward a single goal: offering an immersive experience where sound and image become one.
Behind the camera and microphones, the technical team consists of:
- Recording: CAY @ RHOMBUS COMPANY.
- Image & Editing (Live Clip): Hyunjin Im, with the support of Light Image Factory.
- Aesthetics: Lee Hyejin (Hair) and Jang Junggeum (Makeup) from JUNGSAEMMOOL inspiration east.
More than a simple song, “LIKE THE MOVIES” is shaping up to be a passion project. By surrounding himself with classical musicians (piano and strings) and renowned technicians, ROH TAEHYUN proves that he is not merely seeking chart success, but the longevity of a work of art. The curtain will officially rise on January 30 at 6 PM KST.
