The group TWS makes its return with music infused with clear and luminous freshness.
On January 28, the label PLEDIS ENTERTAINMENT (HYBE Music Group) announced that TWS will unveil its digital single “다시 만난 오늘” (Today we met again) on February 9.
This track is the Korean version of “Nice to see you again”, the flagship song from their Japanese debut single, which achieved immense success last summer. The song depicts, with a clear and wintry sensitivity, that almost miraculous moment when a chance encounter becomes a “we”.
The original Japanese version reached No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100. The accompanying album achieved a double crown on the weekly Oricon charts and earned Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (over 250,000 copies sold). Thanks to this track, TWS firmly established itself in the Japanese music market, even reaching No. 2 on the Oricon 2025 annual rookie ranking.
This enthusiasm continued until recently, naturally leading to the release of this Korean version. TWS performed the song on numerous stages, year-end special programs in Japan, major festivals, and international music ceremonies, receiving an enthusiastic response each time. “다시 만난 오늘” thus presents itself as a true surprise gift for 42, the name of its fandom, who had been waiting for this version for a long time.
Meanwhile, TWS continues its long-term success with its 4th mini-album “PLAY HARD”. The title track “Overdrive” remains well ranked on music platforms, driven by the popular “앙탈 Challenge”, a choreography where the shoulders sway to the rhythm of the chorus. The group will also open its first tour in the Sinophone region on January 31 and February 1 at the Kaohsiung Music Center.
