After more than three years of waiting, the queens of performance unite their forces once again to begin the most ambitious chapter of their career.
On May 7 at midnight KST, the agency RBW officially broke the silence by publishing the very first visual teaser for the grand comeback of MAMAMOO. This mysterious conceptual image leaves behind traditional portraits to focus on a minimalist background with gradients of blue, purple and white. In the center, we discover a clean white label, similar to that of a piece of clothing or a collector’s item, on which the name of the project is written in capital letters: “4WARD”. This symbolic title fuses the number “4” for the four pillars of the group and the word Forward (moving forward), announcing a major artistic progression and a new collective departure. But also, equally important, the phrase “Four as one” emphasizing the fact of the unity of the group which still makes only one.
The reason behind this publication at midnight is historical for the group and its fan community, the Moomoos. This project marks the very first full-group comeback of MAMAMOO in nearly three years and eight months, their last group activity dating back to the release of the album “MIC ON” in October 2022. During this long period, each member shone through highly successful solo projects, affirming their status as accomplished artists. This first teaser therefore comes to seal their long-hoped-reunion and officially launch the festivities of their 12th debut anniversary.
In addition to this new special single, the teaser lays the foundation for a very large-scale project. Faithful to its reputation as an essential stage group, the quartet will not settle for a studio release: the four members are preparing to embark on an immense world tour across Asia and the Americas to celebrate this historic milestone directly with their international public.
The countdown is on to witness the return of the queens: the special single “4WARD” of MAMAMOO will be officially released on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 6 PM KST, just before the kickoff of their world tour which will begin in Seoul from June 19 to 21.
