The group BOYNEXTDOOR is set to heat up the music industry this summer with its first full-length album.
According to the agency KOZ ENTERTAINMENT on May 9, BOYNEXTDOOR will release its first full-length album, “HOME”, on June 8 at 6:00 PM KST. This news was revealed via the official website for the 1st full album.
Doors and mailboxes, symbols of the group, have been placed throughout the site to increase immersion. When the doorbell is pressed, the door opens with a cheerful ringtone, and inside, a calendar marked with the comeback date, a clock, and a frame engraved with the album’s name appear, stimulating fan expectations. By using the “door lens” (peephole) function of the front door, it is also possible to take photos with various applied frames.
The message in the mailbox also drew attention with its witty phrases. Humorous expressions such as “This letter was sent from the future to announce the release of BOYNEXTDOOR’s full-length album HOME”, “June 8 will be the day when BOYNEXTDOOR’s songs fill the streets, news feeds, and audience seats”, and “It must go viral” raised the excitement for the comeback.
BOYNEXTDOOR proved its rapid growth through three comebacks last year. Their first digital single “오늘만 아이 러브 유” (Only Today I Love You) topped various annual charts, and their 4th mini-album “NO GENRE” and 5th mini-album “THE ACTION” both surpassed one million copies sold in their first week, achieving the performance of three consecutive million-sellers.
