LEE EUNSANG
LEE EUNSANG, a member of the boy group YOUNITE, is embarking on a new journey as a solo artist.
His agency, Brand New Music, released an official statement announcing: “Eunsang, who had taken a period of rest for health reasons, has fully recovered his health,” adding, “Eunsang is concluding his group activities and starting a new challenge as a solo artist within his original agency, Brand New Music.“
After debuting in the project group X1 formed through Mnet’s audition show “Produce X 101″, and later carrying out solo activities, LEE EUNSANG re-debuted with the group YOUNITE in 2022. Serving as the co-leader and main vocalist of YOUNITE, he acted as a pillar for the team and pursued intense activities while proving his remarkable musical capabilitie, notably participating directly in writing, composing, and producing tracks included in YOUNITE’s albums.
However, in May 2025, he inevitably had to temporarily suspend his activities due to health issues and had been on a period of rest since then.
Brand New Music explained the context behind his transition to a solo career, stating: “As the artist’s health condition improved, we held long and deep discussions regarding the direction of his future activities with Eunsang himself, as well as with the members of YOUNITE and Para Music.” They continued, “During this process, we confirmed the musical direction and vision that the artist wishes to map out anew, and we have decided to fully respect Eunsang’s wishes.” The agency specified that this decision was reached after careful deliberation for a better future and a new leap forward for the artist.
Now standing at a fresh starting line as a solo artist, LEE EUNSANG plans to showcase an even healthier and more evolved image for the fans who have waited for him with unchanging love during this long period, through music that fully captures his own color and unique sensibility.
Finally, Brand New Music requested: “We ask for your generous anticipation and warm encouragement for the future of Eunsang as he stands at a new starting line, and we also pray that you send constant love and support to the seven members of YOUNITE who will continue their beautiful journey on their respective paths.”
