JYP Entertainment has excited the public with the publications of various short videos of its new project, OURBIRTHDAY.
The first of these videos, uploaded on July 6 at 12 p.m. KST, reveals an intriguing urban setting where a traffic cone suddenly transforms into a pink party hat under a rain of multicolored confetti, revealing the logo “OURBIRTHDAY” painted on the road. The second, released the same day at 6 p.m. KST, presents a pink cake-shaped tamagotchi whose screen lights up to reveal the mysterious message “EVERY DAY IS BIRTHDAY”.
On July 7 at 12 p.m. KST, the third video introduces a dynamic traffic sign where many colorful pastries scroll by as a train passes. At 6 p.m. KST, the fourth production displays an interactive online game showing a small turquoise creature tasked with devouring gifts, cakes, and party hats to reach 99% energy.
The following day, July 8, saw the publication of a fifth video at 12 p.m. KST, simulating the resolution of a giant word search grid to reveal the words “CAKE”, “OURBIRTHDAY”, “PARTY”, “PRESENT”, and “HAPPY”. The sixth, at 6 p.m. KST, is inspired by a retro mobile interface where phone applications transform into a multitude of miniature cakes before a delicious pink creation comes out of it.
The seventh video, posted on July 9 at 12 p.m. KST, invites to a visual search in a pink teenager’s bedroom to find festive objects and make a 3D birthday cake appear. The eighth, shared at 6 p.m. KST, plunges the viewer into a cooking mini-game where music notes of all colors are mixed into a chocolate cake batter.
Finally, on July 10 at 12 p.m. KST, the ninth video plays with placing different elements of the concept between parentheses to complete and assert the slogan of this launch: “EVERY DAY IS ( OUR ) BIRTHDAY”. The teasing concluded with a tenth video at 6 p.m. KST, showing a bin containing personal belongings (handbag, stuffed animal, headphones) passing through a washing machine to come out transformed into a pink cake, gifts, and party hats.
