The group CRAVITY announces a new musical world by highlighting “resonance”. Connecting this time the group’s narrative expanded in the previous work with the keyword “repercussion”, it attempts once more a concept change.
The agency STARSHIP ENTERTAINMENT revealed a story film via official social media on September 10 and announced that CRAVITY‘s 9th mini-album, “SONOROUS”, will be released next September 30.
The title of the album, “SONOROUS”, contains the meaning of “that resonates in a deep and rich manner”. The revealed story film is also composed around waves, repercussions, and resonance. Through a pegasus coming out of a chrysalis, a wave splitting the earth, and a repercussion spreading by following the sound of an instrument, it visually expresses the key message of this album.
In particular, the message “When we know that it can resonate even further, the world resonates for the first time” appears in the video, showing in a condensed manner the direction targeted by the new opus. At the end of the video, part of the lyrics of “Sonorous” was also revealed along with a new symbol logo.
CRAVITY previously dropped hints about the new opus by presenting photos of each member using elements where “resonance” occurs, such as an acoustic guitar, a xylophone, and a grand piano. As the same keyword continues through to the story film, it was clearly established that the concept running through the whole of this album is “resonance”.
CRAVITY, who expanded the group’s narrative and presented an even more intense performance through the previous 8th mini-album “REDEFINE”, expands its world view this time by linking music, visuals, and story into a single keyword.
Attention is focused on how CRAVITY, who did not fear concept changes with each activity, will expand the group’s colors this time with what “repercussion”. “SONOROUS” will be unveiled next September 30 at 6 p.m. KST.
