On November 20th, the group ASTRO came back with its 6th mini album and the title song “Blue Flame” which already has 1 million views on Youtube.
ASTRO‘s members came back after 10 months with a title song that surprised their fans. Thanks to the song “Blue Flame“, they can revisit the story of “Beauty and the Beast”. In the song’s MV, they can show their artistic evolution and unveil their different charms thanks to several beautiful settings.
In the MV, ASTRO‘s visual member, CHA EUNWOO, can be seen in a dark blue setting which contrasts with a beautiful setting composed of white veils. His great beauty and the mysterious atmosphere of the scene make him look stunning, almost unreal.
MJ and YOON SANHA show many aspects of the MV’ story in their shots. Indeed, they both seems lost in a gloomy garden and can be seen with two important objects of the story : the precious flower and the mirror. YOON SANHA, who is the youngest member of the group, seems completely different. His gesture and his powerful singing voice make him look older and his fans are really amazed by his visuals. The main vocal of the group, MJ, was also really was praised for his amazing vocals and high notes in the song.
As a reminder, the group’s two rappers, JINJIN and ROCKY, created the rap parts of the song “Blue Flame“. In this song the different rap parts put even more rythm to the song and highlight their great rapping skills. In the MV, they can be seen in the same setting that represents the character “Belle” thanks to the cozy atmosphere and their beige clothes. The book that is holding by JINJIN is really different from the one that is on fire. The blue veils create a mysterious atmosphere and highlight JINJIN‘s unique charms while he is holding a burning book composed of the most powerful flames : the blue ones. Finally, ROCKY can be seen in a pitch dark setting where he is surrounded by long white threads in most of his shots. There is a contrast in this scene because he is sometimes seen trying to escape from his prison made of threads and sometimes he is dancing intensly inside this prison. Also, his piercing eyes, highlighted by his dark blue iris, matches his dark blue hair and make him look sensual and even more stunning.
Finally, MOONBIN became really popular thanks to this MV. His style and his unique voice that can be heared at the very begining of the song, make him look perfect for the title song “Blue Flame“. A lot of fans also said that this song is made for him because this kind of concept really fits him. He appears as the sexiest member in the MV and shows many times his finely muscular body. The fans also underlined his stunning looks and his natural charm when he smiles. All of that creates a special aura around him and put him as the main character in the MV. He can be seen shirtless and chained next to a wolf in a dreamlike place. This shot represents the Beast that tries to break free from his shackles. All of that made him really popular on November 20th and he was part of the major trends on Twitter along with the song “Blue Flame“.
Sadly, MOONBIN cannot show his sexy charms by participating in the song’s promotion because he has to rest for his health. Fantagio Entertainment revealed that he cannot participate for now but nobody knows when he will be back with the other 5 members of ASTRO. They all speak a lot about MOONBIN and the fans are telling him through several social networks not to worry and to rest because his health is what is important.
Finally, thanks to this MV, the fans can discover a few parts of the choreography made by ROCKY, JINJIN and MOONBIN. They created dance moves that are perfect for the song’s music style that is different from what ASTRO was used to do. The moves can sometimes be fluid and also powerful and sexy. ROCKY precised that the beginning of the chorus is the main point of the choreography. When they say the words “Blue flame” the members imitate the movement of lighting a flame that appears in their hand afterwards. This point move gives a lot more meaning to the lyrics of the song. To sum up, the 6 members of ASTRO could show their great skills as dancers and show one more time their perfect timing while dancing together that makes them so popular.
ASTRO‘s changing of concept will certainly make them more popular and they may welcome a lot more new fans, called AROHA. The members just started to promote for their 6th mini album and their aim is to win the first place at a major TV show.
