“The Japanese production company, responsible for promoting the first group from Produce 101, decided to come to Korea and produce the album. We don’t know the rest of the details because we have no direct link between this album” , he added.
Earlier in the day, media reported that JO1, the first group selected in the Japanese version of “Produce 101”, entered South Korea on December 20th and was undergoing training for its debut.
“Produce 101 Japan” is the Japanese version of the “Produce 101” series, produced under official contract with Mnet. In total, the first 11 members of the survival were selected during the final competition, which was broadcast live on December 11, confirming their debut under the name of JO1.
