BL Korea’s first web musical drama “WISH YOU” was unveiled on December 4th.
The drama, which has been released simultaneously in more than 200 countries around the world, marked a successful start by hosting an online fan meeting upon its first broadcast.
“WISH YOU“, which aired on Vicky, Rakuten and Line TV, as well as the exclusive IDOLOMANCE app, successfully completed its first launch ceremony with an explosive response from domestic and overseas fans, placing first rank in popularity, across genres on Rakuten.
In particular, the first soundtrack title in the drama was harmonized with the performances of the two main characters. In addition, the delicate emotional lines of the two main characters were well seen and the story of the Korean drama was impressive. Reflecting the popularity of Korean pop culture, the popularity of Korean pop music ranking at the top of the list of all drama genres on Rakuten TV in Japan after the first and second episodes, which sets it apart in the overseas market.
It also successfully wrapped up its first fan meeting on December 4th by hosting an online fan meeting to connect with fans shortly after the episodes aired. During the fan meeting, the two main characters watched the drama in person, presenting episodes as it was filmed and answering questions from fans.
“WISH YOU” will offer new episodes and fan meetings every Friday at 6 p.m. on global platforms (Viki, Rakuten TV in Japan, Line TV in Taiwan, Idolomance app, We TV, IFlix, etc.).
