The new idol groups, set to debut in 2021, are slowly drawing an outline. Who will be the main character of the next generation K-pop group that will heat up the music industry this year?

First up, PURPLE KISS (Park Jieun, Na Goeun, Dosie, Ireh, Yuki, Chaein and Swan), who is none other than the “MAMAMOO’s sisters”, is a seven member girl group that RBW Entertainment has unveiled. after six years. Ahead of their official debut this year, the group released its first single on November 26th.
PURPLE KISS‘ single “My heart skip a beat” contains a message that it is moving forward without hesitation towards its dream. It proved itself to be a “complete idol” group who could not only be excellent at vocals and performances, but also rap and dance.
Thanks to this, the group is slowly growing in importance even before its official debut. On the afternoon of December 30th, the number of subscribers to the official PURPLE KISS YouTube channel recorded 270,000 subscribers, and the music video for her debut single “My heart skip a beat” exceeded an estimated 620,000 views.
Next, Momoland group’s agency, MLD Entertainment, will launch new boy group T1419 (Noa, Sian, Kevin, Gunwoo, On, Leo, Zero, Kairi, and Kio). T1419 is a nine member supersized boy group introduced by MLD Entertainment, global computer companies NHN and Sony Music. It aims to make simultaneous debuts in the United States and Japan as well as Korea.
T1419 also released their pre-debut song “Dracula” ahead of its official debut. The clip grabbed attention as the first super special promotion with 7 million views in just four days when it was released. It also published “Daily us” on April 16th.
They will officially debut on January 11th next year and will post individual photo teasers starting January 30th.
A Girl Group, which will be a creation / collaboration between composers Sinsa Donghorang and Universal Music, is also set to debut early next year. Successful creator Shin Dong Hoi, who has produced many hit songs such as “Roly Poly” by T-ara, “No no no” by Apink, “Remember“, “Up and down” by EXID and Momoland’s “Bboom bboom“, challenged the production of a new girl group based on her accumulated know-how.

On top of that, given that Universal Music, the world’s largest record label, was involved in the co-production, it makes us eagerly await the birth of a global girl group that combines skill and scale.
An official from the women’s group said:
“All of the members who are about to debut combine versatile talents, unique visuals and charms. Please look forward to and support us as we sweat to stand in front of our fans in top form.”
Additionally, big companies such as YG Entertainment, Big Hit Entertainment, and Mystic story have also announced plans to launch new groups next year. Attention is focused on whether the new fourth-generation idol group, which will come in the new year, will be able to present a new phenomenon in the music industry.
