The boysband VERIVERY of JELLYFISH ENTERTAINMENT is now making its comeback with a second single: “ROUND 1: HALL“, from the series “O“.
It is during an online showcase on YouTube that we meet the boysband, four months after its last comeback. Composed of members DONGHEON, GYEHYEON, KANGMIN, HOYOUNG, YEONHO and YONGSEUNG, it is on the birthday of the youngest of the group, KANGMIN that VERIVERY unveils a new single. Since the last comeback, the members claim to have trained hard, and to have done a lot of sports to come back strong. The presenter then asks the boys to describe their new song briefly, and they answer “Oh my god“, before showing a few dance steps, then preparing for their very first performance, with the track “Get away”.

The stage is immersed in purple lights and the members, dressed in suits, take on the stage, before the first notes of “Get away” resonate. The choreography and rhythm of the song are sensual, as are the members who dance with passion. Subsequently, the MV is released, and the group resumes the floor to discuss in more detail this new single, which includes two tracks. First, the meaning behind the letter O, representing the name of the new series started by the group in this new year. Indeed, the O can be at the same time a hole, an eye, lenses, a circle representing infinity or even a loop. It mainly personifies the darkness discovered by the members over the previous two years, and how they will exploit it in the future. In addition, their previous track “G.B.T.B” was ranked in the Billboard and National charters, so VERIVERY hopes that this new single will have the same popularity.
With this new single, the group also wants to unveil a new facet of their ability. With the help of selected outfits and accessories, the members want to look more mature and chic. The concept is as follows: the boys meet during a frenzied party that gradually reveals various and varied scenarios. As for the two songs on the single, we find “Get away“, the title track, and “Numbness“. The first combines sounds specific to reggae and pop to bring a dreamy but also dangerous atmosphere, while the second is more based on electro and pop. The photos, unveiled before the comeback, were clues as to the theme of this single, since they represented invitations to a party.
According to the members, the strength of the group lies in the fact that they change their concept with each new series unveiled to the public. Despite the absence of a member, MINCHAN, due to health problems, VERIVERY is charismatic on stage. The boys even announce that a secret song is present on the single, which can only be listened to for those with the CD: “Thank you, NEXT“.
