Jackson Wang's performance of "LMLY" on The Late Late Show with James Corden
JACKSON WANG performs on The Late Late Show with James Corden for the first time with an interpretation of “LMLY“.
On April 21, JACKSON WANG made his U.S. late night television debut as he appeared as a guest on The Late Late Show with James Corden to sing his latest single “LMLY“.
For this performance, JACKSON recreated the set of the MV and sang in front of the actors wearing the same outfit as in the clip with a film coloration that reminds us of his inspiration from Chinese Hong Kong movies from the 90’s.
The performance follows a short interview with James Corden where he demonstrates his charms and people skills as he teases Nate Fernald, the comedian of The Late Late Show. During the brief exchange, he took his chance to make some revelations about his upcoming English album: the sound should be different from what we expect from him.
Back in November 2019, James Corden invited him on his show for the promotion of his first album “MIRRORS“, but at the time, he had yet to perform on the U.S. stage. We can now anticipate a bigger presence on US TV: following the broadcast of the last episode of The Late Late Show, Good Day New York anchor Rosanna Scotto revealed on Twitter that she was discussing with JACKSON‘s team to get him on the show.
