CRAVITY - VENI VIDI VICI Performance
It is on this Thursday, August 19, that the group CRAVITY from STARSHIP ENTERTAINMENT signs its comeback with the album “THE AWAKENING: WRITTEN IN THE STARS”.
Composed of members SERIM, JUNGMO, WONJIN, MINHEE, WOOBIN, TAEYOUNG, ALLEN, HYEONGJUN and SEONGMIN, the group presented its new album during an online showcase on YouTube. Presented by MINHYUK of MONSTA X, the showcase began with the broadcast of a video introducing the members one by one, before the group went on stage for a first performance, that of the title “Veni vidi vici”. The song highlights the strong confidence that the members have in themselves to succeed, underlined by rock sounds. Once the performance was over, CRAVITY presented its brand new album which represents the goals that the members wish to achieve after having faced its inner conflicts.

The members also spent a lot of time in the gym, especially TAEYOUNG who gained five kilos of muscle in order to match the strong concept of the group. SERIM then introduces the title song of this new album, “Gas pedal”: a title describing the growth of the group, which is intended to be dazzling as if one had pressed the pedal of an accelerator. In addition, the rap was written by SERIM and ALLEN to bring a more personal touch to the song. “Gas pedal” addresses the spiritual awakening that the boys have had, taking up the title of the album “THE AWAKENING”. The members thus hope that their fans will reach this awakening to be in symbiosis with the group, representing the futuristic colors of CRAVITY.
After that, the other songs are briefly introduced by each member. The album starts with an intro track, “New Horizon,” which expresses moving forward into a new world. Next up are “Gas pedal” and “Veni Vidi Vici,” followed by “Chinga-linga,” the latter of which addresses the group’s desire to win every event. This is followed by “Celebrate,” which SEONGMIN personally recommended. The sixth song is “Grand Prix,” which is funky and upbeat, followed by “Divin,” which focuses on the excitement of traveling. Closing out the album is the title track “Go Go,” which showcases a more laid-back and relaxed side of the group for their fans. Just before introducing “Gas pedal,” key moves from the choreography are shown, then the group performs their new title song for the first time.
The music video is then broadcast, with a futuristic and enigmatic atmosphere, immersed in a world of red hues. CRAVITY returns to the stage to answer questions from a few journalists present online. The first is to choose which word best represents this comeback, to which JUNGMO answers “challenge,” the members surpassing themselves for this album.
In addition, the group considers that what allowed them to win five awards for best group last year is the chemistry between the members. The understanding between the boys is strong, and their friendship shines through on screen and during their performances.

SERIM says that to create raps with ALLEN, he first asks himself what message he wants to convey, what word would represent the center of the rap verse of a song. Afterwards, they write these verses together. WOOBIN hopes that one day the group will be noticed for the diversity of its songs, and that he will one day have the opportunity to sing a soundtrack. TAEYOUNG continues by explaining that he would like to do video challenges on Instagram and Tik Tok.
Finally, the members explain that the best way to resolve conflicts within the group, being composed of nine people, was discussion. CRAVITY is also grateful for the multiple help he receives from the other artists in the agency, whether it be MONSTA X or WJSN.
