REN from the group NU’EST (JR, Aron, Baekho, Minhyun and Ren) completed his last performance for the musical “Hedwig” in Seoul.
REN from NU’EST was selected as the main character “Hedwig” in the musical of the same name which was held at the Chungmu Art Center Grand Theater in Seoul for about three months from July 30 to October 31st and has perfectly combined growth , acting and singing in each performance.
REN, who made his musical debut through the musical “Jamie” last year, became the first idol to play the role of “Hedwig” and gained attention even before the musical’s launch. REN, who said he wanted to be remembered as a “Crazy Headwig,” reinterpreted various emotional lines of his character with REN’s energy, proving yet another growth that has gone beyond his limits.
REN said through his agency Pledis Entertainment,
“When I think of Hedwig, the memories of challenges and passionate practice since last summer flash by. In playing Hedwig, I was grateful for the help of my elders and many others, and it was a really big challenge in my life, so it’s something meaningful and I was able to be recognized for my worth and talent in many ways.”
He then said: “It was a very happy time to be able to play in front of the audience who filled the audience seats and gave generous love for about three months despite the hard times. Over time I think I can express the depth of Hedwig’s work in a more diverse way, so I would like to show it again if I get the chance. I will continue to try to show better performances. Thank you. “
REN from NU’EST will meet fans through various broadcast activities afterwards.
