On BLOCK B‘s official SNS today, November 21st, along with a photo announcing the release of U-KWON, we can read “Congratulations on releasing our U-KWON sunshine from BLOCK B! in the future with U-KWON which has returned to civilian life“. In the photo, U-KWON salutes with a dignified posture, in military uniform, drawing attention.

U-KWON posted a handwritten letter to the official BLOCK B fan cafe in May of last year and made headlines when he told fans directly he would join the military through the center. Nonsan training session on May 18, 2020.

In September, Seven Seasons, U-KWON‘s agency, said: “U-KWON will not return to the military until November 21, 2021, after its last vacation from October 1, in accordance with guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

U-KWON, who was released from the military today, said via his agency:

Many thanks to the fans who waited. I will try to show you various and good sides in the future”.

Since his debut as a member of the group BLOCK B in 2011, U-KWON, which has been loved by audiences as a member in charge of the group’s “killer” musical parts, has been active in various fields including entertainment and musicals, alongside members P.O. and B-BOMB raising fan expectations.
