HWASA
MAMAMOO’s HWASA continues to gain popularity in China.

The title track “I’m a light” from HWASA’s second single “GUILTY PLEASURE“, released on November 24th, topped the daily charts of China’s largest music platform, QQ Music, on November 25th. “Fomo” and “Bless U“, which are included in the new opus, were also ranked third and sixth respectively on the same charts, proving the great popularity of HWASA in China. While HWASA topped QQ Music’s five charts with her previous title track “Maria”, attention is also drawn to the record that will be set with “I’m a light“.
HWASA’s new song “I’m a light“, which she wrote herself, features a trendy sound that spreads freely over a heavy baseline. The addicting chorus and groovy voice, the signature of HWASA, are harmonized to boast of a great completeness.
“I comfort my listeners with a Hwasa-style message of courage, that only when I let go of my desire to be perfect can it become a shadow casting light.”
HWASA shows off her overwhelming musical power by maintaining the top spot on major national music charts so far on day four of its release with her new song “I’m a light“. Shortly after its release, the song also entered the top 10 on the iTunes charts in 19 countries and regions around the world, including Singapore, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Belarus, Colombia and Lithuania, achieving the global influence of HWASA. She made three consecutive hits, after her first solo songs “Twit” and “Maria” and now “I’m a light“, based on her unmatched concept, HWASA showed her own pleasing and sultry performance to imprint her presence as a full solo artist.
