ROLLING QUARTZ: The novelty will come from Korean rock
Girl group ROLLING QUARTZ are receiving explosive responses with its best performance on the world charts thanks to its new album. ROLLING QUARTZ is currently writing the first ever records for a Korean indie band.
According to Rolling Star Entertainment, the group’s agency on February 22, ROLLING QUARTZ‘s first mini album “FIGHTING”, released on February 8, debuted at No. 23 on the iTunes World Albums Chart and entered #5 on the US Rock Albums Chart. This is the highest record for independent groups in South Korea.
As well as debuting at number 30 on the European iTunes Albums Chart, it also entered the top 50 with positions at number 47 and 43 on the UK and German iTunes respectively. It also proved its popularity in Asia, ranking first on the Malaysian iTunes K-pop album chart and third on the overall album chart.
In August 2019, the two groups, which were preparing their activities under the names Rolling Girls and Rose Quartz, met and took their first steps as a five-member girl rock group by combining and strengthening their strengths. Since debuting with his debut single “BLAZE” on December 30, 2020, he has reached 150,000 YouTube subscribers within a year in Korea, a rock music barren land, connecting with fans at home and abroad.
The first mini-album “FIGHTING” contains “Delight”, “Haller” and “Rock’n’roll Paradise”, the original song of Dreamcatcher girl group “Good night”, redone in a ROLLING QUARTZ style, and the original song by singer Maya “진달래꽃“.
