HYBE announced on March 10 that it had recommended Lee Mi-kyung, CEO of the Environmental Foundation, and Cho Baek-kyu, professor of mechanical engineering at Kookmin University, as nominees for outside director positions.
HYBE announced the same day that it will deal with the agenda of their appointment as external directors at an ordinary general meeting to be held on March 30.
HYBE explained:
“This involves preparing for the launch of the ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) management system and achieving the strategic objective of expansion without borders.”
Candidate Lee Mi-kyung is considered an environmental NGO (non-governmental organization) activist. Candidate Cho Baek-gyu is an authority on the field of robotics and has worked with a number of large companies and startups.
