As the OMEGA X group claims they were abused and assaulted by their agency boss, they will hold a press conference and the members will speak in person.
According to the legal representative of OMEGA X on November 14, OMEGA X will hold a press conference at 2 p.m. on November 16 at the Bar Association Hall in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
The legal representative said, “We have held a press conference with OMEGA X members to explain the current situation and future direction. I will give you the details at the press conference.”
Earlier on the 23rd of last month, an OMEGA X fan posted a transcript, saying that OMEGA X was assaulted and insulted by its agency manager. In the transcript, the person believed to be the agency’s CEO pushed the member and uttered abusive language.
In response, OMEGA X‘s agency Spire Entertainment said in an official statement, “It happened during the first meal of the world tour,” adding, “Speaking of what was bothering each other, the Emotion became intense and voices were raised. We have resolved all misunderstandings for the time being.”
However, the controversy continued. On November 6, OMEGA X opened its own Instagram account and directly expressed its position. OMEGA X pledged to work with courage saying, “There were days when we were treated unfairly by our agency to the point where we felt like crying, but our fans were the only force that kept us going. to hold on.”
When OMEGA X opened these SNS to report the damage, the agency’s CEO eventually resigned. On November 7, the agency said, “The CEO who caused this horrific incident has voluntarily resigned,” adding, “We will try to prevent this from happening again so that OMEGA X members never experience another such an unsavory thing.”
Despite the agency representative’s resignation, damage to OMEGA X members was also disclosed. According to a Nov. 11 news report, OMEGA X took the stage under pressure from the agency’s CEO as some members were infected with COVID-19.
Additionally, four of the OMEGA X members are known to be psychologically affected, receiving psychiatric treatment for panic, anxiety symptoms and insomnia.
OMEGA X, which had been suffering for about a month due to the agency representative’s assault and verbal abuse controversy, has now bravely said that it will open its mouth.
