Singer SOYOU transformed Nine Muses’ “Dolls” with her own sensibility.
SOYOU released the first song “Dolls” and music video for the remake song release project “Again, Star” on various music sites at 6 p.m. on December 21.
Through this project, SOYOU reinterpreted the title song “Dolls” of the group Nine Muses released in 2013 and reinterpreted it in her own style.
“Dolls” is an impressive song in which a woman who has lived through repeated loves and separations confides and comforts herself. With minimal sound arrangements based on piano, guitar and jazz melodies, you can feel the loneliness and calm, different from the original song.
“What is love? What is it? Even the broken heart is precious. In time, everything is forgotten. Every day, comforting, I am a fool.“
The music video released with, shows the main character suffering from the aftermath of the breakup, like the words of a woman clearing her mind after a breakup with consideration for love. The delicate acting of new actress Lee Jae Yi attracts attention.
With the addition of such a loving and appealing possessive voice and deep sensibilities, the track is set to captivate listeners this winter with a new charm that’s 180 degrees different from the original song.
The remake project “다시, 별 (Again, Star)” is a music remake project organized by Star Empire, the agency that produced Jewelry, V.O.S, Children of Empire and Nine Muses. A new artist is expected to reinterpret the hidden masterpieces of Star Empire artists, bringing nostalgia to millennials and new joy to the MZ generation.
