ATEEZ: A concept photo playing on several universes
On June 5th at midnight KST, ATEEZ released a new concept photo for the album, « THE WORLD EP.2: OUTLAW » on its SNS.
After promoting its latest album through various mediums, including advertising trucks and buses, subway decorations and promotional videos in major cities worldwide, ATEEZ shared, on June 4 at 11 p.m., a new photo featuring a fresh concept before released individual photos of its four eldest members on June 5 at midnight KST.
On the latter, we can see the eight ATEEZ members (HONGJOONG, SEONGHWA, YUNHO, YEOSANG, SAN, MINGI, WOOYOUNG, JONGHO) from top and back, dressed in black and white outfits. The group members walk towards a still unknown destination guided by HONGJOONG, the group’s leader, who wears on his right arm a band indicating his role as captain. In addition, we can see at the top of this photo, eight portraits in a style reminiscent of the manhwa intensely intriguing ATINYs (fandom name).
A manhwa style also makes an appearance in the individual photos. Indeed, in HONGJOONG‘s photo, we can see his drawing version at the top right. The group leader poses leaning on a bar and looking provocatively at the objective. We can see him wearing a black Balmain jacket and a white T-shirt. His outfit is complete with several silver accessories, such as a lip ring which we can see also in the manhwa version or an electric blue earring that matches his hair.
SEONGHWA poses, meanwhile, straight in front of the camera with a determined gaze. He was wearing a sleek all-black ensemble, accentuated with silver accessories such as a right nostril piercing, an Ace of Spades pendant necklace, and a thicker necklace similar to the one in his manhwa version. A drawn version which is this time at the bottom right, on this one SEONGHWA wears a pair of glasses, a pair of glasses which is up in the photo version.
On his side, YUNHO poses in profile looking into the distance in what looks like a warehouse. He can be seen wearing a three-piece suit marked by a Karl Lagerfeld jacket and a pair of black gloves. Contrary to the photo, the manhwa version, which is in the upper right, seems to be looking at the viewer.
Finally, Yeosang poses three-quarters looking away leaning on something metallic. He is wearing a black outfit that complements his black hair and has several silver earrings and a matching ring on the bridge of his nose. Accessories are also present on its manhwa version visible at the bottom right.
Thus, this new concept photo increases the expectation of fans on the future of ATEEZ. a comeback in a style blend of comics and action movies which is intriguing with its particularly interactive promotion.
Finally, ATEEZ will return with a new album, « THE WORLD EP.2: OUTLAW », on June 16th.
