EXO: D.O. will leave SM Entertainment

EXO’s D.O. will leave his agency SM Entertainment and start acting on his own.

D.O.

On October 18, SM Entertainment stated, “The exclusive contract with D.O. will end early next month. In discussion with him, we have decided to continue our activities as a member of EXO with SM Entertainment only.”

D.O. will act and conduct personal activities in a new company independently established by a former manager of SM Entertainment.

D.O. debuted with EXO members in 2012. It became a representative group of the Korean wave with hits such as “Growl”, “Overdose” and “Love shot“.

He also worked as an actor. In 2014, he tried to star in the SBS television series “It’s Okay, that’s love“. Since then, he has appeared in the drama “100 Days my prince” (2018), the films “Older brother” (2016), “Swing kids” (2018) and “The Moon” (2023). He is working with actors Kim Woobin, Lee Kwangsoo and Kim Kibang in producer Na Youngseok’s new TVN entertainment, “콩 심은 데 콩 나고 팥 심은 데 팥 난다 (Korean expression which can be translated as We reap what we reap sow)”.
