DAYCHILD debuted in May 2024 with their first single album “ILLUMINATION” and will have its first comeback on November 14, an opportunity to get to know this still little-known group.
DAYCHILD is the first and only group of BlackBear records.
The name DAYCHILD is composed of the words “Day” symbolizing the brilliance of a new beginning and “Child” meaning innocence and newness. The name as a whole means that DAYCHILD is a pure and bright group like a new day.

The group consists of 4 members : INTAE, SIWOO, K and EDEN, although their youngest member, EDEN, is a trainee of the agency, the other 3 members are not completely unknown.
INTAE and SIWOO were both former members of the group BLACKLEVEL. INTAE was the main rapper and he also participated in writing lyrics for the group’s songs. In DAYCHILD he is introduced as a rapper and dancer, but is also mentioned in writing lyrics and composing songs.
SIWOO (formerly known as HOSU) was known as a vocalist in his former group. Today he is introduced as a rapper and vocalist and has also participated in writing lyrics for DAYCHILD.
K was also known before joining DAYCHILD. He notably participated in Under 19, but he was also part of the pre-debut lineup of WEUS, with whom he did a few performances before leaving the group, he was then known as KEON. Just like SIWOO and EDEN, K was introduced as the vocalist of the group and also participated in writing the lyrics of the B-side of “ILLUMINATION” : “Same time“.
Since their debut, the members have already presented several performances, including a busking in Seoul and also a showcase for their first album, but it is mainly in Japan that the group has been able to show their talents, on the FC live‘s stage and this on numerous occasions throughout the summer.
During these concerts we could see DAYCHILD perform their two songs, “Illumination” and “Same time“, but also do many covers of their elders. We find many songs from BtoB, like “Missing you”, “Pray”, “Only one for me” but also song from Highlight such as “Please don’t be sad”, “Daydream” or the most recent “Body”. All these songs showing very different styles, but also allowing this group, mainly composed of vocalists, to show the extent of its abilities.
In addition, we also find in these concerts some dance covers such as “kawaikute gomen” by the Japanese group Honeyworks but also “Supernova” by Aespa. Finally, we will note songs like “Baloons” by TVXQ, “Bang bang bang” by Big Bang or “Man in love” by Infinite on which the members seem to have greater freedom and take advantage of it to go into the audience to interact a little more with their fans.
Like Japanese idol concerts, performances are always followed by meetings with fans, allowing them to get to know the members a little better off stage and enjoy special moments for a photo or video, or even to exchange a few words with each member as they pass by to greet everyone. This also helps the group to retain and attract more fans.
Thanks to all this, DAYCHILD was able to create an Asian fanbase. It is also worth noting that the group, through its social networks and by organizing several fancalls, upon their return to Korea, was able to build a small community of fans internationally as well.
All these fans are now looking forward for the group’s comeback which will take place this Thursday, November 14 with the album “CRESCENT”.
Let’s wish DAYCHILD the best for this upcoming comeback and for the future.
