Singer LEE SEUNG HWAN has decided to cancel his Cheonan concert scheduled for the 4th of next month following the Jeju Air plane crash.

On December 30, LEE SEUNG HWAN expressed his condolences and support on his social media, saying,
“I pray for the repose of the victims who have changed their reputations due to the Jeju air disaster, and convey my deepest condolences to the bereaved families who will be in immeasurable sadness and pain.”
He added, “On January 4, I requested the cancellation of the Cheonan concert to the entertainment agency. I will let you know as soon as I have a response.”
LEE SEUNG HWAN was originally scheduled to hold the Cheonan 35th anniversary concert, “Heaven,” at the Cheonan Arts Center in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do on January 4.
After the disaster, Kim Jang Hoon and Tei canceled their planned concerts and expressed their condolences. Kim Jang Hoon canceled his year-end concert in Suncheon, South Jeolla Province, on the 29th after careful consideration. “I can’t hold the concert or do it because it’s a district of Suncheon. I will reschedule and better prepare to visit you.” Kim Jang Hoon said on social media.
Tei also shared the news of the cancellation of the “2024 Year-End Concert This Year,” which was scheduled to be held on the 31st, and wrote, “I pray for all the deceased.“
At 9:07 a.m. yesterday, Jeju Air Flight 7C2216 crashed while attempting to land on the runway at Muan International Airport and hit the outer wall of the runway. Out of 181 passengers (175 passengers and six crew members), 179 people were killed, and two crew members survived.
Acting President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance Choi Sang Mok has declared a seven-day national mourning period until January 4. As a result, many official events in the entertainment sector are being canceled.
