HYBE AMERICA plans to showcase the next generation of pop groups through a web drama series on an international YouTube channel.

HYBE AMERICA has entered into a global partnership with Alan Chikin Chow, producer and writer of “Alan’s Universe.” In addition, the network announced on April 4 the creation of HYBE AMERICA x AU, an innovative label combining fiction and music.
Alan will serve as executive producer and co-head of HYBE AMERICA x AU. James Shin, President of HYBE AMERICA‘s Film and Television Division, and Scooter Braun, CEO, will co-lead HYBE AMERICA x AU.
Alan is a YouTube short film creator with approximately 1 billion monthly views. His YouTube channel “Alan’s Universe” now has over 88.8 million subscribers. Alan’s Universe, a web drama series about love, friendship, and teenage values, has garnered over 700 million views across various platforms.
HYBE AMERICA x AU’s first project begins with an international audition. Applicants between the ages of 18 and 28 who wish to participate can post a song or dance video using the hashtag #HYBEAMERICAxAU on YouTube Shorts. Nationality is not important.
HYBE AMERICA x AU will use this audition to find a new, versatile artist to collaborate with Alan. Following the member selection, an intensive development program combining Alan‘s content expertise and Hybe’s K-pop training system will take place in the United States. The newly formed group will be unveiled for the first time in the original series Alan’s Universe. This series tells the story of aspiring idols who decide to form their own group after entering the art academy.
“The passion of Alan’s Universe’s international fans and the exceptional musical talents of HYBE AMERICA will combine to create a powerful synergy,” Alan said of the partnership. “We will create a new label that will unite our respective strengths and bring inspiration and resonance to the masses.”
“This partnership exemplifies the future of entertainment, which goes beyond the simple coexistence of content and music, and further enhances the value of each. Together with Alan, we will build a new model of artistic growth adapted to the digital age,” said James Shin.
Scooter Braun also stated, “Collaborating with Alan, who has the distinction of being appreciated by audiences around the world, is very meaningful in itself. Together, we will redefine the process of star formation and create an opportunity for exceptional storytelling and artistic discovery.”
